The Doctor, Amy and Rory land the TARDIS in a dark tunnel. It's not just any old corridor, it's a nuclear bunker. The worst has happened. The whole protect and survive scenario has kicked in. Its doomsday and 'The Day Of The Cockroach'.
The bombs are falling and the great and the good have been directed to this shelter. They are all busy being in charge. But this is 1982 and this didn't, hasn't and shouldn't be happening. Something has gone awry and something else is lurking in the darkness.
In a suitably claustrophobic tale, there is kerfuffle in the corridors as the three travellers try to find out what is happening to the survivors of the eighties Armageddon.
This has the trademark characteristics of the eleventh Doctor and the Ponds with a very funny scene with Rory and Amy towards the end. It's an OK story but, like most of these AudioGo issues, is all about pushing the brand rather than giving any insight into the characters. The fact remains that the storytellers are constrained by the nature of the product not to use the stock other than in a most superficial way. It's fodder for the masses that miss the TV show. Bread and butter rather than scones and cream.
